Oscar nominations announced

Best actor:
I just saw Adaptation, and while it's a good film, I don't see what's the fuss.
My brother just saw About Schmidt and warned us to save our money, they hated it.

Animated Feature Film:
I'd bet money on "Spirited Away" - an amazing film - Must See - 5 stars.
I'd give "Spirit Stallion of the Cimmeron" a second place.

Art Direction:
This is a tough one. Lots of good choices.
I'd go with "Chicago" and then give Cinematography to "Gangs of New York".

Writing - Best Screenplay
"My big fat greek wedding" - If you haven't seen this you're really missing out.
Great date flick - guaranteed to get you laid if you have any kind of game.

Best Picture:
I don't know who will win, maybe "Chicago" or "Gangs", but I predict "Lord of the Rings" will NOT win. They'll wait till number three is released and give "Rings" best picture next year.

Ray Liotta was robbed not being nominated for NARC. I hope Daniel-Day Lewis wins.

Chicago isnt as good as everyone makes it out to be.

Diane Lane deserves the Oscar for Unfaithful, but she probably wont get it. Chances are Julianne more will for Far From Heaven.

Actor = Daniel Day Lewis is there is any justice. However, Caine is very STRONG, but his film was released so late in the year. If he had it out around the fall, he would be a shoo in.

After that, Chicago is going to clean house - it was THAT GREAT! With Gangs coming in second. Throw in an Oscar for Greek Wedding, Spiderman, LOTR 2 Towers, and you have the line up.
