Opinions on DJ logo?

I don't trust myself right now due to percocet etc. but this logo seems pretty good for a DJ (weddings mostly) logo.

A friend drew it up with some input from me. Changes could still be made with a really good idea....

Me likes......

I think you need to change the color scheme to red, though.

Also, perhaps the groom's hand squeezing the unsuspecting bride's buttocks.

Make it spicy......

you can come up with some more pimp than that..have division scan one of his underground makavelli cd's or some shit.

Thinking the light blue should be navy (dark) blue for a more commanding presence.

It was purple for a while but that color is a bit controversial.

TOSS IT UP!!!!!!

Now that's an athem.....if a wedding party can't get down to that, there's no hope!

I thought about that actually. Patriotism is a bit down right now but a red base with a dark blue top would sure have a lot of "pop".

I really don't think the red, white and blue image would look cheesy either. Those colors just happen to blend well together.

So what do people think of a red base with a dark blue top.

I think it would look professional with a "national" look to it.

That's acceptable, as long as you appropriate the colors with the logo.

Do something that isn't predictable......

Pretty cool picture. Is the groom wearing a hat? Also like Div suggested change the color scheme. Black makes me think of a funeral. Sure the guy's life is over, but he isn't dead.

Yes...it is a hat.

This is what I am thinking right now:

Dark blue clothes on the people.

Change the light blue top to red.

Or:

Ladies in red clothes / Men in dark blue clothes

Not sure about the top color...........this is the problem with a dual color scheme for the people.

Red symbolizes promiscuity. Not that it bothers me, or that too many people realize that these days. Just thought I'd put that out there. A light blue could work for the women, or a purple.

Interesting....the women were indeed wearing red in real life.

It was a great group and I was enjoying a crush on one of the bridesmaids. They abruptly ended the reception early however.

I never felt proper asking for a number when working.

Just give her a card, and say "Call me if you have anything to plan, or whatever". If she wants a date, she'll get the hint.

Though being a DJ I'm sure you see fine ass like I see camoflouge.

Great idea Rex.

But back to the thread..............opinions on DJ logo?

I am deliberating the color scheme. Going to bed thinking the clothes should be dark blue and the top should be red.

I don't think the red / white / blue would bug the customers I normally attract. They are almost always very mainstream, the definition of normality.

You mean the words "A Reason to Dance?"

Or the people observing the couple dancing?
The main image itself doesn't stand out enough for me. I'd prefer a clearer graphic.

Honestly, I can't see what the hell the bride's doing? Can't make it out. Reminds me of my wedding, my wife left and came back at the end of the night... all worn out, wtf?

So if you do all events but mainly weddings, how can you put a wedding logo on your ad? You gotta decide which way to go, ALL weddings or everything. Would someone even look to call you if they're having a birthday party if they see a wedding logo?

Apparently the wife could not wait for some midnight GL action? I dunno.

Yea....I kept thinking the edge of the bridal gown, on the right side, needs to be bolder to make it clear.

So....what do folks think about navy blue clothes and a red top (where it is currently light blue)?

For a logo I think that is much too busy. Too many things going on. Too complicated. It is difficult to decipher the bride in the primary image. The people to the side are unnecessary, as that only adds to the clutter. A logo should be somewhat simple and clean.

Are you catering ONLY to weddings? Your logo suggests that, and if that is the case, your colour scheme should remain primarily white and black with perhaps some other colour (typical wedding colours... black for the groom, white for bride). Will you be doing other events as well (birthdays, anniversaries, etc)? If so, then the primary image needs to be changed to something more general.

Well....looks like I will just have the outline on the bride made bolder. Perhaps make the font for the name.....a Reason to Dance......easier to read.

Seriously....not many of you guys are interested in logo analysis. lol.
