I'm not a metal head at all, and I doubt if I could sit through a whole Opeth CD. But I've seen them live and thoroughly enjoyed it. They're not so much a metal band as a prog-rock outfit with some occasional screaming. And they're really nice, funny guys.

I like the more blackmetal feel of the earlier albums - the new stuff doesnt do anything for me.

Deliverance and Blackwater Park are my favorite Opeth discs. The newest one, Ghost Reveries, is good but a little too progressive. I like the brutal stuff the best.
