I heard from a few different sources that the human body can only absorb 30g of protein per meal. I personally wouldn't be so sure about the body only being able to absorb 30g of Protein. Take Ronnie Coleman for example. He sits in around 300-330lbs most of the year. Its a fact that you need 1.5g Protein per pound of bodyweight to maintain and build lean muscle. That means Big Ron would need AT LEAST 450g of Protein a day, and possibly a bit more to grow. He would prob have between 5-8 meals a day, depending on the time of year and if there is a competition coming up. If he only has 30g Protein per meal for 8 meals that means he only ate 240g Protein for the entire day. He would shrink!! He would have to stay up all night eating just to get close to his minimum target of 450g and prob still not get it! And he needs his sleep in order to repair damaged muscle and grow. So I am quite sure the body can absorb more than 30g Protein per sitting! Any thoughts?? This could make a great thread!
