good, on the atmosphere thing. i first heard "woman with the tattooed hands" when I was about 16 and haven't looked back since. they are just incredible. and their latest album (lemons) is maybe their best, prob 2nd best.

ali is sick.

sole is alright, but not consistent enough.

aesop rock is probably too weird for you.

check out murs for sure. especially his last album (murs for president, i believe).

cage is really weird, so nevermind him.

cLOUDDEAD is just in another realm. not together anymore, but had some funky ass shit.

try out eyedea and abilities. sick. eyedea might be the best freestylist you've never heard of. last album was a disappointment though. shadows have shadows is a SICK song.

sage francis was really dope about 10, 12 years ago. he's just off his rocker and all political now. but check out "broken wings", "crack pipes" and "climb trees". those were when he was at his best.
