I hate the way they made bodybuilding today.....

Its like the fucking WWF.... supposed rivalries and shit and stupid fake buildups.... the whole Press conference is rigged and the guys are very very bad actors...

Also, imo, 290 lbs 3.5% bf is not a desirable body.... IMO their muscles get so big their frames look small and they still look stupid.

Also, how is it possible that a guy with a 44 " (being kind) waist wins the biggest bodybuilding contest in the world????

Why does it have to be such a joke? Why do they make our sport something that half the audience only comes to see from a freakshow motivation?

I still cant believe what happened with a guy like Kovacs.... PRo athlete? my ass.

I agree with you about Kovacs. Greg looks like a bad of smashed assholes. You couldn't pay me enough money to look like him. And to make it worse, I've heard his personality sucks donkey balls too.

But I have to admit I really like some of the pro's physiques when they are contest ready.

Wheeler, Levrone, Darrem Charles, Ray, Dexter Jackson...all these guys have nice physiques in contest shape, a little bigger than I would personally wanna be, but they don't look "bad" IMHO.

People talk about this all the time. I don't think ALL of today's pros look bad, but I also don't think Ronnie Coleman should be Mr.Olympia. They are getting so big, that it doesn't look anatomically healthy, their bodies are so large that their heads look tiny, it's just not human-like. I think Flex Wheeler has an awesome physique, but then again bodies like his aren't getting rewarded For me personally, I think that Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, Frank Zane all had better bodies than today's Olympia winners.. they were aesthetically beautiful to look at, not scary

I attended the olympias from 93-95 and lost interest because there was absoulutely no rewards from the judjes for asthetic appeal anymore, just who is the freakiest huge and ripped guy on the stage. I realized that they had begin to look sort of like clowns. I spoke to Paul Dillet for a moment and was amazed by how rather nasty he looked. Too big, just too freaky altogether.

It has sadly become nothing more than a joke. There is no respect in being a pro bodybuilder anymore. Anything that Arnold did to get the sport respected, and mainstream is all lost now. It has become a freak show that nobody could save. They reward gh guts, tree trunk thighs that make the guys look like they can't do anything but pose (arnold, lou, zane, franco had skinny legs you say?! No they had atheletic legs, they looked like they could do more than pose.), vains the size of brances, and over all shitty attitudes all around as well. The only one that I feel should be champion is Flex Wheeler. He claims he will be 218 at this years Olympia. I hope he does come in at that size, and wins it. He deserves it better than those pregnant bitches Cutler and Coleman. Cormier is good too. But I just feel it never got any better than the guys from the 70's. Those were the golden years for this sport, too bad they were also the last...
