How old is the oldest virgin you know? Restrict it to those who do NOT have a religious reason to stay 'pure'.

I have a buddy who is 34. Thirty-goddamn-four, and hes a virg. In fact I think he hasnt even felt muff. He's normal (other than being a virg), has no religious ties, makes good $$$, and is at least average looking. I have no idea what his prob is. And the older he gets, the wierder he will seem to girls. I pity him.

His persistent virgin status has caused much speculation, even his father asked him if there was something he wanted to tell him. I don't think he's gay because he has no female friends, I just think he's sexless somehow, like not in possession of a functioning pair of balls or something.

On the other hand, he seems very happy with no women to deal with, maybe he's on to something.

Yeah.. we used to think maybe he was gay, but he really doesn't seem gay at all. He loves going out to clubs where there are lots of chicks. He seems more asexual than anything.

At 24 I can see girls thinking its cute, and a challenge. At 34 its wierd plain and simple.

24 isn't old to be a virgin really. Well, maybe, but it isn't as bad as 34 for Pete's sake. There are lots of other things that might cause problems besides being gay. A major one that comes to mind is anxiety. I suffer from social anxiety disorder and often avoid sex or talking to women because of it. It's a real pisser too cause I was doing all well when I was just turning a teenager (lost it young and was outgoing) then the anxiety and panic attacks hit and I started avoiding it more often than not. Getting better again though so fuck all of you in advance for mocking the poor bastard who hasn't been laid in a while. Fuck ya.

I don't fucking get it. My friend (22) is a virgin but he gets it on with chicks all the time. It's like he sees intercourse as sacred or something. He's not particularly religious and religion has nothing to do with it as far as I know (I have asked him).

I have a good friend here in town that is 51 and never has been married. He is a very young looking 51 though and I would say he looks about 35. He is retired (been retired for about 7 years now) and he owns 94 various houses, duplexes and apartment complexes all over town. I know he has a rather large net worth but I have never seen him with a woman, on a date or anything. I know he is attracted to women but he is really, really shy when it comes to women. That's why I feel bad about it. It isn't necessarily their fault. Their is always a reason and often seems to be cause they're doing it for religious reasons (I feel especially bad for those guys since they're truly wasting their time). I knew a 24 year old virgin who was very religious and wouldn't have sex until he got married. My roommate and I argued with him about it all the time. He seemed so fucking sure about it too which simply made me feel bad for his ignorance. Poor bastard.

Maybe a better question would be if there really is such a thing as a truly Asexual person. There are obviously a lot of people with little interest in sex (I believe they are called "married people") maybe there are a small number of people with no interest in or need for sex at all.

Personally I think it's a sign of repression, but what is being repressed probably varies from person to person.

Favorite story about my virgin friend. A girl he works with is complaining about the heat. She takes his hand and puts it under her shirt onto her breast by way of demonstration. Nothing happens.
