Okay, so now you're big. But are you "fit"?

How many of you could actually go out and play a game of backyard touch football and not get hurt or be sore the next day? I'd guess not too may.

I'm a prime example. I spent over a year building and trying to add size. Which meant no cardio (hardgainer). But now that I'm getting to a decent size, 6'2" 225 lbs, I've shifted focus to more athletic goals. A couple of weeks ago I started running for the first time in years. The muscles in my lower back had a tough time handling it. Not because I was weak or had an injury, they just weren't used to it. And the muscles in my feet were very sore from a new activity, kinda like your first day back in the gym after a year off.

Well, I'm doing pretty good running 2-3 miles now so I decided to run some sprints in the park on Saturday. I ran 6 50 yard sprints and was sucking wind big time. I planned on running 10 but just didn't fucking want more after 6. My hamstrings were tightening up, as well as my hip muscles. Today, once again, the muscles on the bottom of my feet are sore like I've just worked out for the first time.

So now that you're a swelled up juice pig, are you in better or worse overall athletic shape? For those that think they're in shape, I suggest you go run 6 full speed sprints at the park today and then tell me how in shape you are. :D

Interesting, but I dont ever have to run anywhere. And if the day came I have too, I'll run, might hurt afterwards but I will run. I do cardio 3 days a week so I am good to go but I get what your saying. I wouldnt beable to do all the sprints and shit but im not worried about that cause its not my goal. My goal is to be about 240lbs 7%. Stats of today are, 6.1, 225lbs, 14-15% BF.

I dont consider myself being a big mofo, since I'm only 6' , 210, 8% BF, but I think I'm fit and athletic. Thats my goal. I'm not looking for the Ronnie Coleman size. To each his own I guess.....

Who needs to run? Stand & fight! :chainsaw: I was in the Army for 5 years & ran pretty much every day but, since then I've gained a lot of weight. Right now my goal has nothing to do with health or fitness, It's primarily just being big, I'll worry about the rest later. But, I know running is going to suck big time when I do start.

Well, Army training is what I getting in shape for. :D Basic followed by OCS.

Sure you can stand and fight if you're big. But how LONG can you fight for. You better drop me in the first 10 seconds or you're fucked. :D
