Thanks for all of the responses to my previous post on oatmeal(thanks 110%!). Anyhow, i do know now to go with regular oatmeal and maybe add a packet or two of splenda for taste with maybe berries. What about original grits? Grits(for one packet) has about 20g carbs.
 
Grits has a high GI and it is very high in sodium as packaged --- actually very good for post-workout. Sodium is good for post-workout carbs. Aside from post-workout, it's probably best to choose lower GI, lower sodium foods. If you wanna eat it for breakfast, though, prolly doesn't matter too much anyway.
