ok help me out here... file sizes differ

smallmovesal

New member
in photoshop when i open them... it says it's 800K or so... then when i right click on the file itself it says 1 meg... what gives?

i need it at 800K.

theres a difference between file size and size of file on disk, thats where the difference lies, the file itself may appear to be 800 but the actual size taken up on the harddrive is 1meg.

if you need help let me know.

Yes groover it is.

Prepare for your humiliation.

Mmmm.....i push the button on the front of the tall thing and a lot of noises happen and after a bit i can start typing on the keys of the board thing. I can also move around the rolling thing and make things happen on the screen. And i can do this for hours! Study hard, perhaps you will be so good someday. :bigkiss:

From the online help:

"Document Size to display information on the amount of data in the image. The number on the left represents the printing size of the image--approximately the size of the saved, flattened file in Adobe Photoshop format. The number on the right indicates the file's approximate size including layers and channels. For more information on how layers affect file size, see Managing layered images. "
