This may be a legitimate compulsive disorder. I think it's called TVADD. (Television Attention Deficit Disorder). You should get some counseling.

When I get up in the middle of the night to pee, I sit down to do it. It's hard enough to aim a semi-chub but turning on the light makes it unbearable. Also, there's some scientific evidence that turning on a light in the middle of the night (like to pee) negatively affects your sleep patterns. So at 3 am, I sit.
