Odd question...

Awhile back I had no idea how to diet so I cut my calories back way way too much making it so my metobolism crashed and I've never been able to eat as much without gaining weight. Which sucks because I have a large appetite.
I'm on a DNP cycle right now and plan to do a few more if this stuff works good. My question is, after I'm satisfied with my body and want to maintain, would it be a smart idea to do one more cycle of DNP only this time eat like 2x my average calories a day to increase how much I can eat while im off DNP

Does that make sense? :)

Thanks in advance.

After you get to the weight you want to maintain, keep a diary of what you eat for a long period say a month or two to get an idea of how much exactly how many calories you are going to need. How much protein do you eat normally? It might not be a bad idea to jack that up even higher when on the DNP.

Thanks for the info but it doesn't answer my question :)

Since I got no feedback on this thread I decided to give it a try.

My last dose of DNP was last night (600mg/day for 7 days). I consumed over 4000 calories a day (thats double my BMR). I don't think I put on any weight during these 7 days, maybe 1-2 pounds of water if I'm lucky.
Today I'm droping my calories down to 3000 and tomorrow I will drop to 2500 and maintain from there.
Since my normal BMR is around 2000 calories I'm hoping my little experiment will let my body consume 500+ cals/day without any weight gain.

If anyone is interested I will keep updating my progress. Or if there is some scientific reason why this would not work, please let me know now before I end up gaining weight :)

You can build your metabolism back up slowly bro trust me. There was a time when I ate NOTHING for over 2 months - I was sick - and I wasn't hungry because my metabolism had slowed down as much as possible. I brought my metabolism back up byu adding food slowly and gained back 5 lbs. maybe with little to no fat and then stayed there for like a year. I went from 0 kcals daily to like 2800 kcals daily and I weighed 120lbs and was emaciated and still kept eating that way without gaining back fat. Just keep the cardio up for a while to burn the extra calories and your body gets used to it.

For a good 4 months I lived off around 800 cals/day when I could have easily taken in 1700 and lost weight. This was a long time ago and like I said in my recent post I had no idea what I was doing. I actually picked up a binge eating disorder on the way which I feel has helped me bring my BMR up to where it is now (2000 cals/day). Has it advantages and disadvantages.
Even at 2000 cals/day I still feel like I am dieiting (i.e when I finish a meal I feel unsatisfied). That is my main reason for this whole DNP and increasing my BMR experiment.
If I never went through that phase of eating 800cals/day I wouldn't be suprised if my BMR right now would be 2500 instead of 2000.
Also if this experiment works... Someone who has a normal BMR could increase it just for the sake of wanting to eat more food without weightgain.

I have a question: Is FLATULATE a word? I mean, I know a person can be FLATULENT, but can they FLATULATE? Cause if you can, then I just flatuated.

I realize that but I beleive it will only work too some extent. Also if my experiment works, its simply an easier more effective way of getting that BMR up.

I beleive most of us use steroids because its an easier more effective way to build muscle. People use fat loss supplements because its an easier more effective way to lose fat. Maybe some day people will use DNP to increase their BMR simply because it is easier and more effective.

That hurt dude. I have never nor will I ever pay for sex. As for regular sex, I think it's safe to say my social problems do get in the way and it has been a damn long time but you don't have to go and throw it in my face.

Interesting idea, don't think it's very good though, b/c DNP can slow down t3 production, which controls your metabolism. To fix (increase) your metabolism, try:
1) Gaining muscle
2) Guggulbolic or Thyrene (legal supps)
3) Adding cardio and the food to compensate for it, until your body gets used to eating more food then easing out of the cardio if you want
4) Taking 2 tabs of cytomel for the rest of your life (:p JK)
