I love the pattern of the tartan, very nice :)

Thanks me too!

It was awesome a couple of times ago when I was in Scotland, I stayed at the hotel on my families ancestral land. Out in the lobby was a 10' x 10' rug of that pattern, I stood there in my kilt looking down and thinking "I need one of these".

I was just thinking how cool it would be at a gathering, looking across the way, to find another plaid like your own. My ancestral colors have been lost over the years. A scot's without color..that can't be good :(

I need to try and get to the gathering over there at some point. In a couple of weeks we have out big Highland festival here in Colorado so it'll be nice to see some folks again. Have you tried searching through some of the scottish historical societies? I could look for you next time I'm there if you want or at the highland fest coming up.

Jestro- That's the McDonnell of Glengarry tartan.

My Mom and I went to a millers in the north country (Scotland) and we still couldn't find the pattern. I've heard a lot of the original patterns have been lost; mine, Livingston must be one of them. Maybe some day... Have you ever been to the festival in Bakersfield, CA?
