I finished work early today and went to play golf. When I got to the 13th tee, a guy in the group in front of me had a heart attack. I gave him CPR until the paramedics came. They intubated him, game him epinephrine and used the defribulator (sp?) to try and restart his heart, but he died right there in the 13th fairway. He was 66 years old and overweight.
2 lessons: 1) keep doing the cardio and 2) know how to do CPR. It sucked that I couldn't help this guy, but it would have been much worse if I didn't know how. There were a bunch of people around, and they were all helpless. How would they feel now if nobody had known CPR?
