Nuts!!!!!!!!!

okay, i posted my diet on the diet board and we figured out that i needed more calories and like 20 more grams of protein or so...now since i am eating 7 times per day i dont have much more time to add any more meals yet (untill my body gets used to eating this much then i can up calories)..but i think i am going to start eating nuts throughout the day...what kind of nuts will give me

good calories (i am trying to stay somwhate healthy)
a little protein
some efa's
amd arent too bad for you

so far the options are
peanuts
cashews

any other kind of nut that is good and meets those requirements???

Walnuts and almonds have the best nutritional profile; high unsat/sat fat ratio, high in EFAs and protein.
Ditch the peanuts, their nutritional profile is not as good.
 
how do almonds taste though, im only gonna be consistent with the things that i like...

ps are they good to eat before the gym for energy or no??

Almonds taste good and walnuts taste ok, in my opinion. I don't eat almonds anymore because I notice them in the toliet after I take a dump, and it hurts like the hell when its coming out, but my experience is not neccesarily an indication of what you will experience. Almonds nutrition facts are good compared to other nuts so its very dissapointing to me I cannot eat them anymore. There are a variety of nuts available and they are in a different aile than the planters and other roasted nuts depending on the grocery store, they may be in the natural food section.

Dude, don't you chew them before swallowing?
 
Yea, of course I chew them before swallowing, but I can only chew them so much, unlike other nuts. I was eating walnuts tonight and they completly soften before I swallow them. With almonds, at least from my experience I can't chew them anymore after they get in small pisces. The ones I have been eating in the past were hard, I mean, you really have to bite them. Maybe their are other almonds out their softer that break easier(maybe roasted?)...I was eating the raw ones.
