can anyone that knows about this drug tell me what it is used for and how it works, read an article in musclemag on it but didnt tell what its used for and what it does...Nubain (sp) ?

i think it's used for pain but not sure...bump...i know thats it's very addictive, i have had a few friends fall victim to it.

Nubain is a form of painkiller. It is widely used in bodybuilding, however is very addictive. I would not suggest getting involved with this stuff.

if any of you guys knew what you were talking about or have used it you would know that nubain is not addicting. you can read it on any medical website that nubain is one of the only derivatives of opium that isnt addicting. it isnt that strong either and is very expensive. you tend to build a tolerance to it. i was using 30mg iv to feel good.

yes, it's an opiate painkiller. Some bodybuilders will use it before workout to kill the pain of injuries, or after a workout to chill. You can shoot it IV or skin-pop it. I've heard of IM injections, but those take too long to absorb for my taste.

Nubain is a synthetic agonist/antagonist analgesic. The reason some people say it is not addictive is due to the fact that in terms of addictive potential from morphine/heroin/other opiates, Nubain has a much lower incidence and severity of withdrawl. This is due to the nature of the compound, it is both an agonist and an antagonist. Patients that have abused other opiates or on a treatment involving strong opiates may experience withdrawl symptoms from introducing Nubain. Nubain use also is associated with a much lesser degree of respiratory depression, which is prevalent with opiates. The user experiences a ceiling effect, respiratory depression will occur to a certain extent, after a certain dosage is reached depression does not increase to any appreciable degree.

I would love to give it a try, however, I do tend to exhibit an obsessive personality. Usually if I have something I will go ahead and do it, so for me, it is better to not have it in the first place.

I think it would be better than using heroin or morphine, but still you would be treading dangerous waters.
