Not for people with mouse phobia:

Last night when I was trying to fall asleep, my cat came in with a mouse in his mouth. He batted it around for a while, then it got away from him. After a bit he got tired of looking for it and went off to take care of other cat business.

This morning when I was getting dressed for the gym, I started to slip on my shoe, but there was something wiggling in there. I looked up into the shoe and sure enough, there was a mouse tail. The mouse was up in the toe cowering, and clinging on for dear life. I tried to shake him out into the toilet, but he wouldn't come out. So I went outside to try to shake the mouse out of my shoe and dump him in the garden, but when I went out the neighbor's cat was hanging out on the landing.

I let him sniff the shoe, and he was clearly interested, so I gave the shoe a vigorous shake and the mouse fell out and the cat chased him. He caught the mouse quickly, strutted around with it dangling from his mouth for a bit, then set it down and batted it around. Once again the mouse got away, and ran up into a folded umbrella by my neighbor's door. The cat was still sniffing and clawing at the umbrella when I had to leave.

I was just thinking of how many people have a phobia about finding a mouse in their shoe, and now I've done it.

that poor mouse man.. you and crak600 should protect these things from your vicious beasts!

Mine usually eats them, this must have been a particularly wily mouse to escape from two cats in a 12-hour period. I bet he's good at playing dead when they're carrying him around in their mouths.
