i don't know. the label serial killer is so loose anyone who kills alot of people gets included.

bundy probably killed because he needed to establish some control over the idea of wealth & affluence by dominating women who he thought represented this idea.

panzram probably killed out of powerlessness & a nietzsche style philosophy that the strong make the rules & the weak follow them.
