non controlled substance laws?

I hope this is not a problem to post in this forum. This gets read so much more than the legal forum. Mods move or delete if necessary.

Well I bought the book Legal Muscle. Great book and tons of good info. I did determine that a particular substance is not scheduled in my state. What I cannot find in the book anywhere is what the penalties are for purchase or possession of a non scheduled substance that is a prescription med and /or hormone without having a valid prescription. Can anyone shed light on this?

Secondly where would one find this type of info online? My only concern with a book is that its a snapshot in time at the time of publication and laws obviously change ongoing.

Its a misdemeanor to have it without a script in most states, but nobody really gives a shit. Is a cop going to arrest you for possessing nolvadex? It would never happen.

Thanks for the replies so far. I am more specifically talking about HGH. It is only scheduled in 20 states. In the others it is not scheduled. So whattya think

bumping up for more thoughts.......thanks again for responses Poan,,,, Interestingly enough some states do come down on this too. In the legal muscle book it specifically mentions Delaware. Still would love to find state by state detail. Anyone know where i can post this that Rick Collins would see it?
