Nolvadex and Clomid sides

I have been reading things like mood swings, depression while on either of these. Can someone fill me in on what one might experience while using these?

after two and a half weeks of clomid and nolva i was depressed as hell, a friend of mine feels fine on it, everyone is different. you need it though to get the boys hangin again.

Clomid makes me very moody & depressed.I use Nolva to bring down water retention & have never noticed any mood changes.

Clomid made me very very depressed for about three days. I took 300mgs day one 100mg day 2-10 and 50mgs to finish the pack. I think the large dose at the begining is what hit me really hard. Damn I was a winey biotch.. but it went away. I think it varies for everyone. Don't know about Nolva.....yet

Clomid was nothing short of hell for me.

Novaldex had NO sides.

I don't think that Nova works as well as a post cycle therapy. But I'd take it over Clomid anytime.

Anyone have some ideas to offset the depression. Sound like it would be wise to try and end the cycle going into a weekend when you don't have too be around others unless you choose.

There are some posts on the board on how to deal with post-cycle depression and there are things to take that help that are otc. You may not a have a problem with clomid. I was worried about it, but it had no impact on me at all except that it tastes awfull.

Yeah the proper way to take clomid --- first put the tab in your mouth let it start to dislove under the tongue for 1 minute. Then chew for thirty seconds swallow and enjoy.

Try 10mg of Lexapro in am. Works wonders.........galaxy

Thanks Galaxy. Any other thoughts on this? Real Gains had a great post on Clomid and Nolvadex yesterday. I have also heard that taking Nolvadex during a cycle may inhibit gains? Some say yes, some say no. Any experienced feedback would be appreciated.

Well, you've already heard it, but here it is again. I'm finishing up my Clomid this week and this was my first time that I've ever used it. At the end of the first week, I was so depressed and emotional, it was like they say...like feeling like a woman. I couldn't stand it, but I stuck it out and I'm not that down now, but still feeling weird.

I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones, but if it helps get things back to normal, then it's worth it.

No input on Nolvadex, because Clomid is supposedly better for after-cycle therapy, therefore it was my choice.

You don't have to chew it or anything crazy. The stuff tastes like crap. It has a half-life of 5 days so you can take it once a day. Just put a few tabs in your mouth and swallow.

I am on clomid right now, and especially in the start when I took 300 mg. day 1 I felt totally depressed for a few days.

The other night I could'nt fall a sleep, just thinking how much my life sucked (which it really does not!)
