No XPlode

How many of you are taking the supplement No-Xplode and what are your thoughts on it? I recently started taking it and I can definately feel/see a difference and I haven't even been taking it by the book (every day). Took it last night (after not taking for a week bc of work and whatnot) and my arms looked really muscular and cut. Right now, I'm lifting about 3 times a week with minimal cardio bc the lifting pretty much tires me out. If I am heavy lifting only a few times a week, what are your thoughts on losing fat without doing cardio? I'm assuming the more muscle I put on, the easier it will be for fat to come off naturally, but then again looking for some opinions and some of your experiences.

Thanks.

Jenny

I also just started taking NOX and can feel a difference in my intensity in training. That's funny you mention being too pooped to cardio after weights - the exact thing happened to me this AM. Today was legs and my hips were already bothering me from running yesterday so I skipped my run and now just feel like I want to nap. ??

I don't know if it's from the no-xplode, but I tend to unfortunatey not be one of those people with non-stop energy (i wish) and get tired out easily and I don't want to push myself so much that I feel exhausted during the day at work. That's why I'm asking about doing weights only because if I do fit cardio in every other day, I tend to feel so exhausted. I'd rather leave to a few times a week and be able to function well during the days and not feel that I want to go to bed by 9pm.

What does your diet look like? Are you getting enough carbs to support the heavy lifting? Don't always look at the supplements for whatever feelings you experience until you've looked at your diet. Are you fueling for your goals & your activities?

I would examine your diet if your feeling like this. Sometimes you just have to get OUT of a bad habit/routine & then it becomes easier. A lifestyle change to incorporate healthy ways is not easy & doesn't happen over night.

Cardio is great for cardiovascular endurance as well as fat loss BUT withOUT a clean diet, all the cardio in the world will NOT help.

I truly believe Abs are made in the kitchen & cardio IS an extension of diet.

Your body will adjust to weight training.

Again look at your diet. I wouldn't RELY on any pill BUT if you need a boost you can use something like Cardio Breeze for a push.

NOXplode made me feel kinda wired, then I'd crash hard & feel sick to my stomach. Not really for me.

my diet is decent, but i'm not the poster child for healthy eating at the moment. i'm not looking to go too crazy with eating just bc i have had a hard time in the past and have had problems with emotional and compulsive eating. but i try to balance everything in moderation, not depriving myself of too much and it seems to work better for me. as you all say, you have to make this a lifestyle, and i enjoy food too much to deprive myself of sweets all the time. anyways, i'm not consuming ten big macs a day or anything like that lol, but just thought you should all know where i'm coming from. i'm sure i'll attain more energy from eating better, no doubt. my older brother has been using no xplode for weeks now (as well as cell tech/protein powders) and his muscles have really blown up to the point where you'd think he was on more than these supps, but he has started eating a lot more and just lifts pretty much 3-4 times a week. so this stuff must really work, i'm just wondering if anyone has noticed more muscle definition using it....my brother claims he's lost a lot of the fat around his stomach and his muscles are becoming more cut.

I just want to make sure that what we are asking about eating to fuel your body - and this maybe more to gatsbygirl re: being tired. Even if your diet isn't perfect, the question was are you getting enough good quality complex carbs to support a good lifting session and your activities in general. I bring this up because esp women tend to be scared of eating "carb" and will avoid good things like potatos, rice, etc. - even if their diet isn't perfect, they are scared shitless of carbs. But the reality is that if you are lethargic that simply means you aren't getting enough carbs to support much of anything - your BRAIN needs carbs to run on even - if you've ever talked to anyone who does the Atkins Diet - you start w/ the first 2 weeks at crazy low carbs (30 g / day max) and most people say that's the worst part of it because all you want to do is sleep, and absolutely no energy for lifting or anything like that - that's why the Atkins Diet will make you dump a pile of weight immediately -- but its water weight. Carbs require water to be "held" in your body so when you stop eating carbs, your body will start to consume the carbs it has stored and as it does, releases the water used to hold them as well. That isn't fat weight - that's water weight.

But I digress - my point was that if you are feeling tired, esp on a heavy lifting day, make sure you are eating enough complex carbs to support that lifting. If you are already depleted, there's a chance you are going to consume muscle instead.

No-Xplode is garbage. It worked 2 workouts for me and then it didn't do much after. When it did work, it wasn't that great either. I was very dissapointed, considering the high price and hype.

The best NO product I have ever tried for focus, energy, pumps, strength, bloat and fat loss is Amplify02. Thankfully Omega finally got more in, I was missing it! And btw Omega, that new version looks incredible. My wife is anxious to try it out. She loved the old formula. Knowing her she will be stocking up on it so she doesn't run out again, lol!

Jenny, the wondeful women of EF are spot on with their advice on eating to support your lifestyle and incorporating some cardio. Remember hard and heavy workouts require the proper food to fuel them. Also, if you haven't been at it long, make sure to ease yourself into it all. Till this day, if I've had a lay off of more than a couple of weeks, I go slow the first few days back, less sets, weight, etc. I don't want to burn myself out.

If your lack of energy continues, I would consider going for a full check up and blood panel. Sometimes fatigue is something minor like not having enough of a certain vitamin or mineral, or a slight change in diet is required. Others it can be stress, depression or any number of things. Getting an all clear from the doc though, is almost always the best place to start. I hope whatever the cause is, you get your energy back soon. I've had some rough patches where I felt if I even brushed my teeth, I wouldn't be able to go in for a full days work. Eventually it gets better. Good luck Jenny. :)
