Nintendo 64 emulating is pretty cool too

There was a thread a little while ago about SNES emulators and games. So I also downloaded an N64 emulator and a few games off Kazaalite and I must say it's pretty nice. I finally get to play some and the few truly N64 great titles since I never owned own one. Namely Goldeneye, Zelda and Zelda 2, Waverace 64 and Starfox 64.

there are ps2 and xbox emulators but im not sure about the gamecube.

you really need a good graphics card to run the ps2 emulator and especially the xbox emulator.

I would imagine you'd need a really good graphics card to emulate a PS2. Heck you at least need a decent one and at least about a 1ghz processor to emulation an N64 well.

which emulator are you using?

i tried using some emulator like more than a year ago, and the thing sucked.

also, what kind of controller are you using? n64 controllers have both the directional pad and the joystick, plus 9 buttons. i cant imagine doing that on your keyboard or a standard gravis pad.

I'm using Project 64. It's a fairly new 64 emulator and pretty nice. It plays very smoothly on my XP1800 1.5 Ghz system and GeForce2 MX/MX video card. I'm been less than impressed with all the other N64 emulators I've seen. Most were choppy, had no sound or didn't work at all. And I have a wingman rumblepad controller. It's set up a lot like a PS2 dual shock 2. I like it. You need a decent controller for real PC gaming.

I haven't seen a PS2 emulator that works but I haven't looked that hard. I tried a couple and they didn't work so I figure I wait a while and see what's out there a little later. I don't remeber the names but there are a few out there on Kazaa.

Hey I have the "ultimate n64 emulator" version 1.2 but the damn thing doesn't work. I have one game for it but whenever I try to load it it says I have insufficient memory. I have 512mb and my resources are always at 95%! WTF. Karma to anyone who's had a similar problem.

I'm using Project 64 and have Zelda and Starfox and they are perfect ports. I'm sure certain ROMs you download will be corrupt but I'd suggest you try this emulator first.

ExtermiN8r,

I'd try using the Project 64 emulator and try a few different roms too. Like u4ik_RAGE, I've come across a few ROMs the would play but I think it was probably bad ROMs over the emulator.
