Night Time Proteins...

i tried protein factory's night time formula and the shit was absolutely horrible, couldn't come close to stomaching it.

casein protein actually curdles in your stomach, making it release slower and last longer. Another good idea is to include some healthy fats, like flax or olive oil. That will also slow down the protein absorbtion, which is why you shouldn't have fats in your "after workout" protein shake.

You can add a little whey in there, but I wouldn't put too much, it is just going to be in and out pretty much. Cottage cheese is about 80% casein, and 20% whey, that is pretty good for night protein.
