NHL Hitz or NHL 2002?

Which is the game to own?

NHL 2002 seems like the choice because it's been around forever but a few of you said Fever was better than Madden.

So, which is the one?

They're 2 totally different games. Go with NHL 2002 if you like a realistic simulation and a real hockey game. Go with Hitz if you like a fast paced arcade style game that's unrealistic .The comparison is like Madden to NFL Blitz, if you've ever played both those games.

I'd go with NHL 2002 myself. The fights were great on NHL Hitz, but other than that I didn't really care for it. It has a real short rink and is 4-on-4 counting the goalies.

Hitz would be my choice...NHL2002 is the same old thing. Average 50 shots a game and win 1-0. Its so boring and the goalies are super human. I dont know why its called it a simulation.

Even though Im a hockey fan I have way more fun playing hitz. The 3 on 3 hockey opens things up and lets you make some sweet goals. If you have a buddy to play with its even better.

Opens things up a bit? The playing surface is very small. You can barely turn around without running into other players.
