Newbies Galore:halflife confusions

It seems like newbies and a few others are having a problem with half lives.


A half life is the amount of time that must pass before there is 1/2 the initial concentration.


Now suppose there was a specific time that it takes for 200mg of EQ to diminish enough to start clomid.


If you took 400mg of eq in your last shot, you would have to wait one additional halflife (not twice as long) before starting clomid. If you took 800mg of eq, you would have to wait two additional halflives on top of the recommended time period before clomid.


You must keep this in mind when figuring out when you're going to be taking your clomid. It's not one size fits all! Especially when a substance has a very long half life! Two additonal half lives can make a HUGE difference!

Yeah, It's amazing how people will just regurgitate from another post on "how many weeks before starting clomid" when the first post was about 200mg, the second about 1 gram.

I have been wondering this, is the half life we speak of here the biological half life, effective half life, or the regular half life?

It's the chemical halflife of the ester.

Once the testosterone is freed from its ester, it has its own half life, but that is really not important because it is so short..

So its just the straight chemical half life, I thought that the half life in the body usually changed the half life, where the calculation is then made for the half life...I really want to know how this stuff works,the effective half life formula as far as I know is

1/te = 1/tb +1/t

Taking into account the biological. Let me know, I really want to start to learn more about the chemical processes we all talk about here

The biological half life is all that is considered..


There is no chemical half life really.. if there is it is EXTREMELY long..200mg of test enanthate in oil is 200mg of test enanthate in oil months and months later.

You can ignore any chemical half life..

Not particularly, just in general.


I don't want someone thinking the "layoff" time between last shot and clomid is the same for 100mg and 800mg.

I'll look for one.. People will always argue the half lives because for some reason they think half life = layoff time before clomid, which is obsurd based on my first post.
