Lately I have been seeing ALOT of "first cycle", "what do you think of this cycle" threads. Good to see you guys are researching before taking the plunge. Good to see everyones responses with there help and suggestions. The typical, "what's your stats", "diet" and "years training" etc are good. Let me add one, "What's your Baseline values". Let me say this AAS used properly, combined with proper training and diet can be extremely effective. That said, these a POWERFUL compounds and should not be taken lightly. If you are concerned about "Bloat" or "Bitch Tits" as you should be, you should also be concerened with recovery and safe use. The best way to do this is BLOODWORK, get your blood work done before to establish your baseline values. I would also suggest tests every 8 weeks during and then obviously after pct to help judge if you are in fact "recovered". This could help you deal with issues that come up, gives you something to base your "my nips are tingling" rants on. This could also help you avoid a dangerous situation and give you clear direction on how to deal with any issues you may encounter. There is good info in the pct forum and in the online help books found here at EF. Here is some of the tests you will want to have done:

Fasting

HORMONE

1. Cortisol, Total
2. Estradiol, Extraction
3. Prolactin
4. lh - leutenizing hormone -
5. FSH - follicle stimulating hormone -
6. T3, Free
7. T4, Free
8. TSH
9. Testosterone, Total, Free and Weakly Bound
10. Hemoglobin A1C
11. Fasting Insulin

CARDIOVASCULAR

12. CBC
13. Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
14. Lipid Panel

OTHER

15. GGT Important Liver Value not included in Comp Metabolic Panel

There is plenty of places to get AAS, there is also plenty of places to get your Blood work done. Stay safe and TRAIN HARD!!!! You'll can achieve things you never thought possible.

+1-- great post bro, I am in that boat where I cant start anything because my bp and cholesterol is high, now if i did not know what i was doing and decided to just go on a cycle anyway It could have and would have reaked havok on my body....

Always get your blood work done...

*side note* if your health ins. only covers 1 blood work up a year, you can always make somthing up to get your doc to order more and it will be covered.... Or you can just pay out of pocket, either way its a must...

Ok I'm about to sound like a total ass here, I know it's a must it's a must.

I have been hearing all you guys have been telling me infact I completly revamped my first cycle because of it.

I know I should get blood work done, but I have already started and have not yet. I'm still pretty young (24) and am only using 250mg of cypionate a week for 8 weeks. I have no medical insurance currently but will in about a month.

I shouldnt just quit my cycle and I can't get blood done for a few weeks. Is 250mg of cypionate a week for 8 weeks really going to kill me at 24?

Again not to disrespect, just seeing if I should really drop everything I am doing and run out right now and get stuck for blood.

Thanks as always,

No, I'm not saying you should drop everything to get bloodwork done. Just some information for everyone to think about. Obviously no one thinks that 250mg a week is going to "kill you".

Alright all sounds good, So maybe after my first cycle some 4 months after so my body has a chance to readapt and I start another I should go ahead and do it then.

Good info gents and post bw1

no one thinks 250mg of test will kill him??? What are you talking about?
the whole American public thinks that.

I got my blood work done today and waiting for results. Its about 9 weeks after my cycle. I didnt get it done before hand but this way i can at least see how i recovered.

Don't worry about bw now since you've already started.

Also, if you got an honorable discharge, you should be able to go to any VA Hospital for free. Just bring ur ID card.

Hi to all, this is my first post. Although I have done some cycles in the past years and read a lot before and while using, I still think that you guys are very experienced and helpful. Thanks for the good information especially on blood tests and PCT. I doubt it if our private labs are equipped for them all but still interesting info. I wish I found elite earlier.

Best regards
dura

Great post. Not just for the newbies, pretty much for everyone as a reminder not to neglect PCT and blood work. They are just as imp. as the juice. Good job bro!

Hmm have you been to a VA rep? You would be surprised how much they can help you. They are civilians that WANT you to get benefits. Thats what I did and they got me 10% for life. You should go talk to one. It can't hurt.
