newbie requires diet advice

Hi, Ive read from other boards and as well as on EF, that when you wake up you should have whey shake in water to kick start metabolism and prevent any catabolism.
Then however, Im meant to hav breakfast half an hour later. This is a problem for me because im a student and cant afford to sit and wait for half and hour.

Therefore i was wondering whether its ok to consume something immediately or alongside the shake?
 
Eat some oatmeal with the shake bro, no sweat.

I think what they're trying to tell you is to get food in you upon awakening ASAP, which is good advice. You are right it is not feasible to eat every 30 min, and you don't have to do it that way.
