Newbie In Need!

Hey everyone, I’m a newbie and just want to say I’ve spent about a week reading the boards and following up on advice from many of you. I’ve learned more in the past week from this board than I got in 10 years from any of the Muscle Mags and related media, and for that I’m thankful.

That being said there’s a whole lot of information to decipher and I’m having a helluva time trying to determine where to start. I’m a bit older, 33, and have been lifting consistently for about 10 years albeit without the aid of AS. I don’t have the genetics to compete on any level, and to be honest, never had a strong desire to do so. However, I’ve always been fascinated with people who have the ability to build extraordinary amounts of muscle, steroids or not, and maybe in another life I’ll get to be that person. For now though I’ve had it with working my ass off in the gym, eating the “right” foods and taking the “right” supplements and getting minimal results.

I’ve read similar posts from other newcomers and seen a variety of answers, most of which have been very informative, yet I’m still somewhat lost. In a nutshell all I want to accomplish is moderate muscle growth while dropping a couple of %’s points of body fat. Would it be worthwhile to start with some test and possibly clenbuterol? Or would I even need the clen as I’m not preparing for any contest? Also I’ve taken Synthroid as a result of hypothyroidism for about 10 years and wonder about the effects of combing that with AS?

I have a ton more questions but for now I just need some advice on a starting point. By the way I’d like to say that if more fitness enthusiasts would take a moment to read these boards it wouldn’t take long to dispel any bodybuilder as meathead myths. I’ve found more level headed, straight-to-the-point information on the so called “underground” than from 99.9% of the mainstream sites. A test only cycle would be ideal. Simple, effective, and controllable sides. Between 400-600mgs a week will do very nicely. No need for the clen. ECA or NYC is just as effective if not more so. The synthroid will have no neggative sides with AS and in fact may help it. Many of us use T3 for dieting and some use it for bulking cycles to increase the rate of protein synthesis. It sounds like you're more interested in shedding a bit of fat. If this is the case it will come down to diet.

Thanks for the welcome you guys and I appreciate the info Beezers. I realize you guys get tired of the same questions so hopefully I won't ask too many really retarded ones.

I've heard Cytomel works well for fat redux and have considered giving it a try. Would I have to stop using Synthroid if I went to Cytomel, or can I take them concurrently? I know Cytomel is a T3 and Synthroid is T4 but not sure about how they breakdown.

So you guys think a simple test cycle and switch to Cytomel might be a good start? Thanks again for the info, it doesn't go unappreciated!
