Newb advice on first cycle

Whats up guy's. I've been reading for a little while now and appreciate all the knowledge you guy's share on here, thank you.

I'm 39 years old, and have been lifting since I was about 16 off and on all natural. The last three years I have been in the gym five days a week and lifting heavy and consitant.

Stats. 5'10" 205lbs. body fat around 18%. I put on size real easy, and try and eat a clean healthy diet.

My goals for my first cycle would be to put on 15 pounds of lean muscle and keep as much as possible. I'm hopeing the additional muscle will help me get my bodyfat down a little as well.

I would eventually like to be able to see my abs, six pack but maybe my second cycle could be a cutting cycle?

I'm thinking for my first cycle:
week: 1-10 250mg test. testosterone cypionate.
week: 3-10 250i.u HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin -
week: 12-14 50mg. ED clomid

I know it seems like a small cycle to some but want to start slow and see how I respond. By reading the board most of you seem to think its not worth stacking on the first cycle, agree or disagree?

Also is it nessesary to do the HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - on a light cycle like this?

My workout is:

Monday- chest 2 warm up sets and 4 working sets flat dumbell presses. 3-4 sets incline presses, 3-4 set incline or flat fly's. I keep my reps in the 6-8 range for my working sets.

Tues. Triceps. Seated triceps extensions 2 warm up sets 4 working sets 6-8 rep range, then cable push downs 4 sets.
Biceps: straight bar curls, 2 warm up sets and 3-4 working sets 6-8 rep range. Dumbell curls or hammer curls 3-4 working sets.

Wens. Legs: warm up on bike 10 minutes then squats. 2 warm up and then 4 working sets. 4 sets leg extentions, 4 sets leg curls. 6 sets calf raises.

Thurs. Back: pull ups 5 sets all sets to failure. seated rows 4 sets heavy.

Friday. Shoulders: Seated dumbell presses 2 warm ups and 4 working sets, side raises 4 sets, shrugs 4 sets.

I'll do some stationary bike about 15-20 min. about 3 days a week after my workouts. I also try to throw in some different exercises, so it doesn't get stale.

I know this is huge first post, but it seems you guy's like to have as much info as possible in order to give advice. Thank's for your time and advice.
 
save the hcg. u shouldnt need it on something this light. hey but u will have it when u need it down the road sometime.

That doesn't look bad to me. It looks like you've done some homework. Why not go ahead and do HCG until week 14 too? I would consider doing HCG at 250 IU twice per week. I would also consider doing test cyp 500 mg per week too. Not sure on the clomid dosage though. You might be able to do 150 mg on day one and taper down to 100 mg/day for tne next week or two, then 50 mg/day for another week or two. I'm into your age bracket and that is how I think I would consider doing it if it was my first cycle.

If he is into my age bracket, he may need those things, but I'm just guaging it on myself though.
 
as long as he runs it a low doses it wont hurt his recovery that is for sure.

Do you guy's think that at 250mg/week it is to light to gain the 15lbs. I want? Will going to 500mg/week make a big differance?

If it was your first cycle at age 30 I would say it would be fine. At age 39 I'm not sure because I never did a cycle until I was 29. Alot of doctor administered HRT's are at 250 mg every other week and some people claim that it only gets them to the low end of their ng/dL amount of test in their blood stream.

yep.. possibilty of more side effects..
 
If I go to 500mg/week, should I have some noveldex on hand for gyno issues? What other side effects would be amplified with the higher dosage?
 
I would think Nolvadex should be fine. You may want to consider PCT, but at our age, we're not going to bounce back like most people younger. Some people can get away with running nolvadex straight through for a few weeks post cycle and that is enough for PCT. You may be able to get away with Nolvadex and HCG until your last week of PCT even though you are going to run HCG throughout your cycle.
 
Can one of you guy's lay this out for me in a cycle please. One at 250mg/wk and one at 500mg/week, along with how you would do PCT - post cycle therapy - ? Thank you.

not a small cycle--a smart first cycle--except stretch to 12 weeks. i would also have an anti ee on hand just in case and some nolavadex for p/c/t
