new zealand or austrailia?

i noticed that the new zealand dollar is alot cheaper than the aussie one.. anyone been to either? hows the prices for average everyday living?

for vacation, definetely Australia. I basically hit up every major aspect of it when i went and it's such a diverse continent.
city life (sydney), near alice springs (outback), port douglass i think? (Great barrier reef).

it was NOT cheap though. this was along time ago.

heard great things about new zealand but it does not compare to australia

it depends on where you go and what you do of course australia can be very cheap, or fairly pricey (not pricey like sweden, but still, you wont feel like yorue paying for everything in pesos lol)

the best thing to do is search for travel forums where americans have already posted.

i think new zealand is def worth visiting, and is cheaper than oz by about 20% or so.

if you want a tip, from an aussie, about where to go to have a really good time cheaply...go to perth all the good bits, few of the bad bits
