i got about 10 of these today:

The message contains Unicode characters and has been sent as a binary attachment.

DONT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT!!!

im using a bunch of computers now, the one i used it on is beeping like crazy. im sitting acrosss from it. its making a bloop sound when the person strikes the keys

the girl across from me is looking perplexed. lol the tech's are walking back and forth to that pc. its fugging funny

Thanks for the warning satchboogie!

Good luck georgie24! Never open an attachment unless you know the sender and know it has not been forwarded. Eventhen, I usually just delete all of them.

If you don't have a firewall, get one! Blackice is what I use at home.

I just got two of them myself seconds before I came her and saw this thread. Same warning message from the virus scanner saying it was Unicode. I guess we have a new epidemic coming.

fuck i just got anotherone, it didnt have warning

shit my account is getting bombarded now!!

email [email protected] WILL BE OUT OF COMISSION

im dumping it as i dont like wtf is going on!!

satch- there coming through unmarked! i just got a whole bunch of numeric/astric/alphabetical mumbo jumbo. in a normal email with an attachment

my ef account has got 7 or 8 of those in the last few days,it says topic "RE: Application" I only use my ef account for gear stuff so I wouldnt be applying to anywhere,I just deleted it

on another note, has anyones ef account been stupid by not sending emails even though it appears sent?

I always open those viruses when using a public computer like the library, its fun :D But yeah, I have been getting a bunch of theses the past couple of days. There is another variation that has been attacking outlook users and I have gotten a few of those too.

Fuck ... where are you RADAR? YOu just sent this to me today you SOB! grrrr! I opened the attachment and it was zipped file called body.zip. Inside was a shortcut to MSDOS. That was enough for me to know something was fucked, so needless to say I didnt run it.

Be carefull,
Mavy

I'm right there with you guys. My cyber-rights account is getting blown up with a bunch of crap. I got the exact one you were referring to Satch. Also getting a bunch of delivery failures, even though I haven't sent out any stinkin emails. I'm just deleting them and hoping after awhile they'll stop. I had something like this a while back on one of my yahoo accounts "the sobig virus" I think it was called that went on for about two weeks and then finally just stopped. I'm sure this will probably do the same but in the mean time don't open any unusual attachments.

Black Ice is good. I use a harward based firewall b/c they are more secure then software and it acts as a router... don't ask, I have several computers (basically a LAN) all over my castle... even the moat is computerized... :spin:

NEVER open an attachment, if you dont know the sender or recognize the file. I have gotten several trojans emailed to me as though they were from microsoft and they were needed for security patch.

Microsoft wont mail you a patch as an attment. I saved the files on a zipdrive then scanned the zipdrive and they were virus attments.

Be Safe, thanks SatchBroBoogie

i think I already got something on my computer cause I keep getting emails saying I sent them viruses'

the worse part is that they might actually put a keylogger which I think Is on my computer right now

time to format

I've been hit with a few in my EF mailbox.....if I don't know the person or haven't contacted anyone I don't open. But those emails all came with attchments which struck me as odd...along with the fact that I had 6 emails in one day.....hmmm, said myself to me..."That's strange!?!"
