New microsoft vulnerability.

supernav said:
MS has "holes" in their security almost every week. It's a lose-lose situation. You put the patch, think you're all safe and secure -- and then next weak hear of another patch. It's pointless.

Yeah right.

You keep thinking that and your machine will soon be sending out 100's of virus laden e-mails.

Morons like you are the reason that people write viruses.

Is it still dangerous if I have two firewalls?

Yes, I have a router + the firewall that comes with windows xp+ norton internet firewall(security jacked up all the way) and I keep my virus def. and updates all up to date and STILL got that last fuckin virus.

You can put in a billion "patches" and i bet you someone can STILL send some stupid virus through outlook and take over your computer. Look at how powerful that last virus was. And this was through YEARS of o/s updates and patches.

Besides, forget about viruses. Why won't Microsoft talk about "root kits" or they just want that part of the o/s to be hush-hush? Screw viruses. I can use netbeiu to install a hidden service that can't be turned off, that uses RPC calls to take over your PC. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of comptuers from home to government can be perused and accessed by hackers ALL over the world.

Don't listen to Mr. Superwannabehacker.

Netbeui is non-routable, so the protcol requests can't be forwarded by a router (or bridge for that matter). You'd do some real damage on a single network segment. You'd had better hope your "hundred of thousands of computers" are on the world largest VLan.

Patch your OS so you won't have problems when this vulnerability gets exploited.
