The banner is too wide, it forces a horizontal scroll bar onto my browser unless I re-size the window to a size that takes up too much desktop real estate. Also, the bright, colorful pictures of half-naked people are borderline work-safe. It calls a lot of attention to the screen if you're surrounded by nosy people who can't resist looking over your shoulder.

Can we make it so that Plat members can turn off the banner?

Since you are changing things over, if you are going to alter the quick navigation features [Search] [Quick Links] in the blue bar at the top of each page, I would suggest that you place them below the ads. This is likely not a concern for Plats or for users of Internet Explorer, but the Google ads are always at the forefront of any drop-down menus in Opera, making the current menus useless.
