I've been a runner all my life. Never lifted much or had the need. I've always had great athletic ability but that was taken away when I got hit by a mortar in action. Spent 3 years in a wheelchair. I worked my butt off to be able to walk again and 26 surgeries later.
Weight 207
Height 6'1"
34" waist
Run 10.2 miles in a hour
My body cannot handle the stress of running anymore. Doctors say if I keep running I'll hurt myself more. After lots of consideration I've decided to try lifting instead and my doctors agree it'd be a lot better on my body
I have a great dietitian and am able to eat about anything I need and am very disciplined.
I have several gym memberships to access gyms all over the world as I travel.
I sleep 8 to 9 hours a day
I'd like to maintain a no larger than 36" waist. My upper body needs a lot of work. Due to my injuries I tend to rely on my arms and back to move/lift rather than my chest. Trying to find a good trainer to help with my goals. My legs are stronger than I look and very lean.
I've never taken anything but would like to know where to start and what to start with. How should I find what I need and what are normal costs? How do I know if it's good products or not? If I do a cycle for how long and what should I do or expect when off of a cycle?
Any particular diets I should maintain? I hope to be able to put on mass and some decent size. My injuries cause me great pain but I don't let it stop me from working or training.
I'd like any and all advice. I have TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) so sometimes I have trouble understanding instructions so please understand I may ask for further information. I've been searching online for weeks but I'd like to hear from others with real experience and valuable information.
