It's much hotter upstairs than downstairs. I'm staying until lease is up and that's it.

I have a townhouse down in orange county... damn thing has appreciated like mad and thing is... you are insulated on both sides usually so the upstairs/downstairs temp diff is not as big of a deal. Mine cools down very quickly... then again I'm up in Santa Barbara for summers so I dont get as much of the dead heat.

thats why i have ceiling fans on the 2nd and 3rd level to keep things cool... Sucks that the thermostat is right by the kitchen.. How ingenious were they to put it there... Probably best place is in the hall way. or have 2 thermostats, one for 2nd floor and 3d floor. Glad that i converted my basement/rec room into my bedroom.

I can turn the ac on in mine on each level independently from the master control. It's nice. Usually I only cool teh bottom floor at 10% middle at 30% and top at 60%.... the guy who installed it says based on the "size and height of my unit" (lol) that was the best setting.
