They do make MB's that support PC133, I have one with a 1.7Ghz Athlon, but you'll get better performance out of new RAM.

When upgraded my motherboard I didn't feel like spend the extra $$$ to replace my SDRAM memory so I know where you are coming from. When I upgraded I did have to update my drivers for my DSL modem but other than that no issues. There are boards that support both SDRAM and DDR so you go to DDR later. Which on to get depends if you are going with an AMD or Intel processor.

Hey Darktoofuses, you probably want to post this question on a forum where you have a better chance at getting some decent advice. Go to www.arstechnica.com, register, and post that question. You'll get a ton more replies from people who live computers, give you solid advice, and probably save you a fair amount of $$ in the process.
I realize this is stereo-typing the EF community and not altogether true, but I find it funny when people are asking tech questions on a meathead forum. It's kind of along the same lines as, would you go to a computer nerd forum and post a question asking everyone to critique your deadlift form?
