been off the board for a couple of years..had some health problems..heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery last September...am back in the gym, doctor says I am good as new..am in my late 40's have worked out for 9 years..done 5 cycles in the past with great results..2 years ago was at my peak at 5'10" 209 with 6% bodyfat...now look like hell..carrying a lot of bodyfat...am dieting with not great results...was hoping my natural test level was low..doc checked it and it was 691...what kind of diet works after having pretty major surgery?? need to jump start my metabolism...wanted to do a cycle. but after 2 years all my buds are gone....whats a good way to jump start my metabolism?? thanks for any help guys....

First off you need to get consistant with your eating, which will boost metabolism as well as some Cardio, But i'm no Doc so I do not want to give you supplements to take being you had a heart attack, Talk to your Doctor is your best bet

Right now Im doing Makavellis diet, pretty close with a few variations, nothing major though. I really like it, if you can handle eating the same thing often than youll be good to go. When I eat that many meals a day my metabolism speeds up and I feel great. It should be on the first couple pages in this forum, as I saw it up yesterday. Good luck

Right now, I suggest everything you do should be done with your doctor. Advice of EF is not your best option in your condition.

totally agree with X here, work with your doc man dont go by what ya read here i mean we dont know everything your doc does in regards to your overall health and i wouldnt want to be the one that suggests something you try and end up in bad shape.......

I am not so sure as Mr.X...I guess it would depend on your Doc...I have a freind who is 44 who just had a heart attack and a stint put in...he was the picture of health (according to the doc and others who don't know any better) He did tons of cardio each week, he ate tons of fruit and veggies. Hell, in a 12 hour period at work he would consume at least 8 pieces of fruit.

He tried to stay away from all of the cholesterols (red meat, eggs) ect, WHAT A JOKE! But his total cholesterol was about 220, but the bad was a lot higher than the good.
Basically all the Doc did was told him to eat more fruit, and keep on staying away from the high cholesterol foods (red meat, eggs) ect and to do LESS cardio....
So WTF is up with that????

I would talk to s doc, and see what he says. If it sounds bunk then maybe get with a sports nutritionalist.

BB's know what works, and tons of fruit ain't it.

Thanks again..Mr. X I go back to my Doc on Thursday..but so far he says I can pretty much do anything...I guess I must have been in pretty good shape..after the quadruple bypass I was back at work in less than 3 weeks..He says my metabolism will go back to normal it will just take some time...guess I am not the most patient person in the world.. have always been able to control my bodyfat through diet..have had it as low as 2% when I competed..never over 12% when bulking...
