NEED HELP(scared, but am going to doc for tests)

Over the past 4 years I've done probably about 8 cycles. Like a lot of people I'm sure, when I first started I didn't know as much about them as I probably should have and failed to take all the necessary safety precautions. Anyways, my last cycle which was just anavar at 50mg for ten weeks ended in June and before I do another one I figure I owe it to myself to go to the doc and make sure everything is flowing corectly. I'm going to come clean to the doc about my use, but need your help in asking what to get tested. I'm sure the doc will know some important things to test, but I'm also sure you guys are more experienced in this field. So basically what should I get checked and tested??

Thanks

P.S. That last anavar only cycle was my first with var and was by far my favorite. If everything checks out OK I'm running it again in a couple of months.

Be careful about leveling with your doc. The last thing you want is for "steroid abuser" to be in your medical records. That could come back to haunt you in a variety of ways.

I would tell the doc that you have some concerns you would like to discuss that could affect your health but you don't want it mentioned in your medical records and that unless the doc agrees to the "off-the-record" discussion, you aren't going to tell him/her. I think many docs would agree simply out of concern for your health. Mine did.

As far as tests: have your liver and kidney values checked as well as a lipid profile and test profile.

Anyone have anything else to add?

Very good point Spidey. I'd only say something if there was a problem.
I PM'd DrJMW awhile back and he was kind enough to send me a list of things to be checked, sorry I don't have it anymore. You might want to try PMing 40ButPumpin, I don't for sure, but judging from his posts I believe he's in the medical field. He knows what he's talking about that's for sure.
The obvious would be liver values and your heart fully checked.

Think about possible side effects and you'll know what to test for:

heart problems: cholesterol and all blood lipids
liver: liver values
endocrine system: testosterone (total and free), LH, FSH, estradiol, progesterone, prolactin
prostate?? ask for an examination and they'll stick a finger up your ass!!:bawling:

anyone else?

I suggest a complete physical. They do a complete blood and urine scan. In some places you get to smear a little do-do on a piece of cardboard to see if you have "poop-chute" cancer. Oh Boy...
