Need help on buying or leasing a new car

what are the benefits of buying a new car vs leasing a new car?

i am selling my truck b/c i get the shittiest gas mileage ever with it and i don't really have time to take trips to go climbing or mudding anymore...

would i benefit from leasing a new car or just buying one?

can someone list some pros and cons of buying vs leasing?

Buy if:
You drive more than 12,000 miles a year. Leases usually charge you up the ass when you turn it back in with more than this on the ODO

You tend to trash or ding or otherwise abuse a vehicle. See above regarding being charged for not turning in a clean like new lease at the end of the term.

You intend on keeping the vehicle for like 6 years or more.



Lease if:
You are the type to grow tired of a vehicle after a couple of years and want the latest thing.

You can write it off as a business expense

You don't have a lot of cash flow and yet want a sweeter ride than you can really pay for.



Personally for me, Leasing would be wasting money as I tend to pay the 4 year loan off and keep the vehicle another 3 years or so with no payments.

Buying gives you some value to negotiate with for your next vehicle.

Leasing is like you letting me tag your girlfriend in the ass...and then giving her back to you.

I just bought my mom a 2006 Volkswagen Passat. I hated Volkswagens but they have their shit together this time. Loaded and fast. It was designed by AUDI and is alot like the AUDI A4 model without the sticker shock.

Buying is also easy because of the great interest rates out there

if u buy you will get a cheap car. if you lease you can get an expensive car to drive all those strippers around you got....
