I am a regular over on the Renegade board which is obviously still down. I don't frequent this board much due to time constraints but I actually started on this board. And sort of cut my teeth on it as it were. First off, Hello to all of you, nice board.
I am in a bit of a spot. I have been on antibiotic now for like 10 weeks trying to get rid of a prostate infection. I started feeling like shxxt with all my joints hurting and pain in the long bones. So I went back to the doc and told him. He switched meds from Cypro to Doxicycleine. He also ran a full blood panel. As it turns out there are some disturbing problems I would like your comments on. First and foremost is the Testosterone levels. No wonder I feel like crap. My total Test is 51 ( 260-1200 normal).
free is 15 (34-194 norm.)
bioavailable: 35 (84-402 norm.)
FSH: .7 ( 1.4-18)
LH : .2 ( 1.5-9.3)
Estradiol seems ok at 11 I guess. ( no reference range given )
Glucose: 56 ( 65-109 norm. )
ok there you have it. I seem to be a girly man with no testosterone and diabetic on top of it. My Test. has always been on the low side but NOTHING like this. And I have never had a Glucose issue either. Do you think it is the meds? The doc seemed to think I might be having a reaction to the Floxin (Cypro ).
Help!!!!!!!!! what can be done.

blood tests

Thank you to the two guys who posted and asked questions.
My liver looked good and all other values were nicley within limits as well including thyroid. I have been on and off cycles for years usually with Deca, Sust. and D-Bal. I have not been on however for nearly a year.
Like 7 or 8 years ago, I was diagnosed with low Test but still in range. I was put on long term treatemnt of Cyp at 300mg EOW.
I was on that routine for like 2 years. It was after I stopped that I started gassin. Probably that ong term use us what really screwed up my feedback loop but at the time, I didn't know any better and as we all know, most docs don't have a clue either.
I need to do something to address my rock bottom Test problem now however and also need to know how badk this thing is with the Glucose. THanks again.

Before saying your docs dont have a clue, i would like to know if they have a clue to what gear you were using/have used? Also your age?

You are right about the axis being turned off.

Diabetes is when your glucose is high, not low. You probably didnt eat before having the blood draw. It is probably fine.

Cipro being the cause?...not sure about that.

Bllod test and Docs don't have a clue

Thanks T. for your comments. Yes my doc is fully aware of my use and has been on top of it for years. He is a very liberal guy and has a huge following of HIV patients. He is a very good guy.
The Glucose thing has me a bit shaken becuase as I said, I have a blood test every 6 months for years now and I always fast for several hours prior in order to get a more acurate accounting of trygliceride levels. And my Glucose levels have alwasy been in range. By the way, I m in my forties.
Any thoughts in what can be done about the low test levels and the relationship between it and the Cypro?
Any other thoughts you or anyone else may have?
Thanks, THEHANDLER

I dont think the CIpro has anything to do with it, but you could probably find out before i could by researching it on medline.

As for your glucose, dont worry. It is almost normal and one isolated glucose level doesnt mean much.....unless it is an extreme like 10 or 600.
