hey all, I have been very strong with diet and lifting and gone from 14% down to approx. 11%. My goal is to get to and stay at 6-7%. I feel like it is carbs that are keeping me back. I don't eat a lot at all and avoid sugars. I do not drink soda, eat candy, etc. However, I think my body is trying to hold on to my weight and last bits of stubborn fat (I am a fairly muscular 192 at 5'9)
Soooo, I am thinking that I am going to go high protein, low fat(efa's and other fats avoiding saturated ones), and very low carb. I am wondering though:
Is it ok/healthy to cut pretty much all fruit out of one's diet?? This is where my carbs come from along with complex carbs.
Here is my plan for carbs:
I drink all low carb Isopure for shakes and put a few resberries in(maybe 10 at most). I will have 1 banana as a snack during the day and one mid-morning snack of whole grain rice(2cups).
Then, post-workout I am thinking of adding in a carb drink that has 70G Carbs(60complex/10glycerol).
How does this look?? Too many carbs post-workout, too many carbs througout the day?? The rest of my diet is tons of veggies and salad, lean meats, the low carb isopure shake, and other protein rich foods like cheese, seafood, etc.
Thanks a ton!!
