Mentor

New member
my goal / day is around:
----------------------------
230g protein.
930g carbs.
120g fat.

5300kcal.
----------------------------
seems impossible to get 5300kcal/day, without getting to much fat in the diet.
Can someone help me or perhaps does anyone have a link to a good site.
Anything would be helpfull.

THANKS:::... /// DAVID

Hey Man,

Gosh, I really hate recommending these....but you may want to try a Weight Gainer powder with all the carbs you need. There are some pretty sweet ones on the market that are remarkably low in fat. Otherwise, try to stick to foods that are low in fiber content, those will cause early satiety during your meal (things like veggies, fruits, oats, etc.) Try cereals, popcorn, meal replacement shakes, pasta, etc. Good luck bud. Feel free to email me for any more specific recommendations, I would love to help.

Why don't you want more fat? It won't hurt you. Personally, I like to up the fat for some quick calories, but that's just me, I guess. Otherwise, here's an idea that I like to use.

2 cans tuna fish
8 oz pasta
3 cups skim milk

Ok, let's see here. I'm dieting so, since I'm not eating pasta or milk I'm forgetting the caloric breakdown but...
That's roughly 1440 calories, 132g protein, 201g carbs and 8g fat.
Of course, I didn't include the sauce or parmesan cheese, but that's negligible, if you ask me.

Get a weight gainer if you have trouble stomaching all those carbs. I don't know much about the others, but Twinlabs' Mass Fuel will give you 900 carlories including the milk (make it whole milk and it'll give you more). Another way would be to cut back on the carbs and take in more fat. Chow on peanut butter or take tablespoons of flax seed oil or olive oil or canola oil.

I have the same problem. I hate weight gainer shakes. I have tried numerous different ones, Twinlab, Prolab, Eas, and others. They eventually start making me sick. Of course, I have always been one to have digestive probs. I started ordering the basic components (ion. whey protein, maltodextrin, flax oil, etc.) from proteinfactory.com. I get them non-flavored with no sweetener. I then create my own shakes. Works a LOT better for my stomach, and I can get more calories in me without getting sick as hell.

I like: 2 cups ice cream, 80 grams ion. whey protein, 1 cup milk, and handful of blueberries. Blend as desired. Whalla, 1200 KCal and 80 gram protein. Tastes great. Of course, I am one of THOSE with a fast metabolism, so I don't ever worry about fat.

Personally i would switch those ratios around abit but what works for you, works for you.

If you need all those carbs and dont want much fat just opt for fruit, blended w/ cream of wheat cereal and lots of skim milk.
