I make my own shakes. The main thing is to make sure, like they said above, to go with whole foods. Make sure you get at the very least, 3 good solid meals under your belt. Then you can supplement shakes in inbetween as you can.
For my shake heres what I go with:

1/3 cup of Whey Isolate
A scoop and a half of Creatine Mono. (would have gone with PureCEE but didnt really know much about it when I was ordering)
A scoop and a half of Glutamine
2% milk

I drink that 2 times a day before my workout. Then for my POST workout shake, I do the exact same thing, only I add 1/3 a cup of Dextrose in with it.
Lately I have been mixing in some sugar-free ice cream for a little flavor. Whey Protien gives me the shivers when I taste it heh.
On a side note, im glad that we could convince you to wait until later in your life. Its good to know that you at least have somekind of good head on your shoulders because you listened to a lot of people who are more experienced than you are in this area, and you took their advice. Most people who come in and dont hear what they wanna hear end up doing what they want anyway, and end up doing way more harm than good. *Golf Clap* to you!
