Narc Story...

I work construction and had a job at a building that was being set up for cops that work the internet. These guys were mostly concerned with child pornography, but there are other groups that work narcotics etc...

I was amazed with how many computers they had set up and the number of cops assigned to this task. They compiled alot of evidence in a short amount of time.

This is how they work. They visit chat rooms and boards and spend time establishing a name and making friends. They are patient and persistant with developing an online persona that gains the trust of pedaphiles.

Their entire day is devoted toward making contacts with the goal of aquiring illegal images. This was in one city and was a local PD. The cops told me that they spend months establishing themselves on chat boards.

These guys were not stupid and are skilled at gaining the trust of those they communicate with. They know the lingo and culture of the boards and fit right in.

This is not to make you paranoid but is a reality. This is why I have not asked for sources and would be real disapointed if someone gave a source to a newbie like me.

It is so important to be extremely cautious with information. You would probably be surprised if you knew who the narcs were.

There is always risk, but we are here for entertainment purposes anyways so we are going to be OK.

I am concerned with guys that are always on the Mods and vets band wagon. When I first got here I wanted to fit in and found myself wanting to hail every post by a mod or vet. Don't get me wrong the Mods and Vets do post good stuff, but one can be to enthusiastic, with the goal of gaining confidence to ask for sources.

Most guys and gals starting want the source right away and we are an impatient soceity.

Now I am just going to learn and contribute as I gain confidence in my knowledge.

If you can get ahold of the email address of a good domestic, its like getting a pot of gold... Mods and vets protect their sources and you'd have to be a damn good narc to talk a good email addy out of someone...

Stew... What I am saying is that the Narcs I met were very good and patient. They would post for months and appear legit. Someone would take a chance and fall.

I think that the newbies would be most vulnerable.

I was asked for a source with in a week of posting, as soon as I mentioned the cycle that I was going to start.

I would hope that the Mods and Vets would get suspicous of somone asking questions regarding sources, even if they have been around for a while.

This is another good reason to be very careful posting things that hint to who a source is or from where shipments come etc..

why would any officail of the law waste months to take down a steroid supplier who maybe supplies to 100 people? believe me they have much better things to do. maybe theyll get to the steroid suppliers after all the murder and rape cases are solved.

They waste months because it's their job their income. Some of those that have been on this board for a while may know of guys that have gone down via internet or at least shipments stopped from a supplier.

They guys I am talking about were after child porn, but they told me that there are task forces for all sorts of internet stuff, especially at the federal level.

The guy I spoke with spent alot of time just gathering information. That is why guys get pissed when certain kinds of info are posted.

If we can read between the lines so can they.

I wouldn't give anyone my domestic sources unless I knew them personally or they gave me their Social Security number so I could run a check......LOL.....Every year usually around January-March it seems there is house cleaning. Guys who have been around a while know this and don't want it to happen to their guy. My advice to guy w/o a source is to go international, much easier to dig up an addy...

Scammers do the same shit. They come to boards, make friends, post knowledgable or funny stuff. Wait around for people asking around about sources and then send out their phoney lists.

But I have some serious doubts about the narcotics side. Since local law enforcement are bound to jurisdiction.

I can only imagine the cops doing very local, very specific set-ups for buying stuff face to face.

I've never met a local source on the internet.

Remember guys he said city...these departments are more likely to have the resources to set up this kind of sting. Once enough evidence is gathered, the local law enforcement works in conjunction with the big boys(DEA) to take em down.

It wasn't that long ago that some fellas were taken down for stock market fraud. The whole scheme started in a chat room.
