Myspace death indictment

that dumb bitch that created the fake male myspace profile and used it to harass and torment the teenage girl until she finally gave in and took the advice to kill herself has been indicted.

Though for it to take this long is a surprise in itself.

Seriously, if that girl had been my daughter and after learning the truth how some fucking GROWNUP was behind that account and torment, well... there just wouldn't be anything left of that entire household to indicted. Or bury.

do you want children?

My son has a bib that say TAX BREAK on it

i'm gonna have lots of kids

they're high in protein

This is the first that I have heard of it.
Kinda stupid if you ask me, I mean on myspace you can block messages from senders and stuff.

Why was the woman telling a child to kill herself? What was her beef with the kid?

The woman who set up this fake web site was the mother of a girl who was friends of the girl who killed herself (in fact lived down the street). She set up a fake myspace page of a teenage boy, using a picture of some kid they found on the net.

Then the woman pretended to be this boy as a ploy to learn what the girl (who killed herself) was saying about her daughter. She (the fake boy) flirted with the yhoung girl leading her to think she was cute, had a friend, not alone, etc. really played into ther young girls adolescent insecurities. Then she (the fake boy) turned around and became nasty and finally told the poor girl the world would be a better place if she was dead. That very day the young girl hung herslef in her bedroom while her parents were at home, downstairs.

Holy crap! What a weird lady.

that would be hard to prosecute, though. Proving intent to have her actually kill herself would be a stretch.

thats the deal. The state of Missouri couldnt find anything to prosecute, and neither could the FBI. But the LA prosecuters seem to think they have a case since the myspace servers are in LA. Its weird how this has turned out.

In my opinion, that woman should serve some sort of time. I mean, what the hell? Teenagers have a hard time determining consequenses of their actions but the adult needs to be held accountable.

I've been keeping up on this news story. The funny / sad part is that the women who put up the fake profile doesn't really see anything wrong with what she did. I wonder if she'd feel the same if her daughter was raped. I know that I'd be laughing at her misery.

Sure, rape ISN'T funny. But pushing a girl to commit suicide is worse (in my books).

yeah, I'm not saying that she shouldn't be put away. I'm saying that it would just be a hard job to get that conviction. You have to prove all the elements of the crime, as it is written at the time that the events took place. This crime is somewhat unique and hard to fit into an existing law. I assume that they will go with some sort of manslaughter charge, but it will be a tough case to even get to a jury.

yeah - i imagine that she wont have to serve any time at all.

While that is horrible, under the law I see no grounds for indictment. Unless they have an anti-bully law or something. You can't go to jail for teasing, practical jokes or suggestion! I do feel the woman is wrong and even if she doesn't admit it, she has to feel bad. Also, the family could win a wrongful death civil suit and really take her to the cleaners!!

Really? I thought that the they could appeal to the jury's WTF! senses.

OR....the victim family could put up where the woman lives, what she looks like, what her kids look like...

Not for revenge...no...not for that....it's to warm others...

If someone takes it upon themselves...well...
