Yes folks, it happens to the best of us. One day you are minding your own business, fucking around with a fuck buddy, then BOOM, the stalker appears.

I met him a couple of times for sex. He wanted more of a relationship, but I wasn't having that since he threatened to break my legs if he ever saw me again (he threatened me because I didn't want to see him again).

He leaves voicemails on my cell every few days, and I get emails with invites to threesomes. Nothing harmful or threatening, but I know if I answer them, then he will think its OK to keep persuing me, and leave me even more voicemails and emails.

Any suggestions short of calling the cops?

Because he hasn't done anything illegal yet, or at least nothing I know of. Is there a law against leaving voicemails with "hey man, I want to see you again"?

Am I right in thinking if I reply to his messages and emails, he'll take it as a sign that I am interested?
 
You say you're a man in your profile and yet you keep referring to this person as a 'he'. Somethin' smells fishy that's for sure.
 
Well, just thought since he threatened to break your legs, that might be a good enough reason to be concerned, but you're better equipped to assess that threat than I.

My last ex kept calling and e-mailing, and I ignored her. Took over a year before the phone calls and e-mails stopped.

Well, yeah, I guess. I didn't have the heart to be mean to her and tell her to fuck off. She developed this habit of calling at 1 or 2 in the morning, because she knew I'd answer the phone on instinct. I just started sleeping with the caller ID phone by the bed, and if it was her, I didn't answer.

The other nice part for me was that she was several states away, so I didn't really have to worry about her showing up on my doorstep.

Not that THAT thought didn't cross my mind too.

I do have a couple of advantages:

First, I bought a house and will be moving soon.

Second, I can change my cell number, so he leaving voicemails will be a thing of the past, but I am too cheap to change my number.

The only other issue is the email. I am not changing my email because of this fucker.

Rnch - no, there is no marriage proposal, just proposals for group sex. Hell, I like group sex, just not with this particular person. :(
