10 years and 1 month i've had it... 180k miles, 2.2 liter engine... i guess i've gotten my worth out of it, but i believe the fuel pump is dead... 600 to repair it.

fuel pump shouldnt be that expensive.

Buy the part and take it to the local HS/College auto shops and see if they can do it for cheap.

$600 for a fuel pump? Did they tell you that you had to lube yourself up or were they willing to include that service for you? What the hell kind of truck do you drive? A fuel pump shouldn't cost that much, even at the retail end.
