my angel wings are very special to me, i drew the initial design of them and they represent the depressed years of my life and its a constant reminder of the hard times i struggled thru as well as an attempted suicide. these wings remind me that noone is perfect and we all make mistakes but not to let those mistakes take the only life given to us.

anyone know how long you can't tan for when you have a tattoo?

Wait as long as you possibly can. Most people say 2 weeks. But I would say at least until it has fully peeled and a couple of new layers of skin have grown over.

The earlier you start tanning with a new tattoo the earlier it will start to fade. The black work you have will turn blue.

If you have to do it earlier make sure that you use some good lotion/mosturizer afterwards.

That is VERY cool bro!
I have the Japanese symbol for "strength" tatt'ed on my chest. I got it after I'd been lifting about a year and put on some decent size. I knew I was going to stick with it and wanted a tattoo just to remind myself of how important it was to me to get big and strong. Also, knowing me I knew I wouldnt let myself be a skinny little dude with a tattoo for "strength" that would be lame.

WHAT? N.A., Wow......why would you ever? I'm just getting to know you, but I'm sure alot of people would have been really upset if that attempt had turned out successful. I hope it was a long time ago and you have put it behind you already. You've got a lot of guts and I can tell you've got a good heart. I hope you've long since realized that you've got lots to be proud of and live for.
