Hey all...

Finished up a cycle about 12 weeks ago. Been just maintaing ever since. I'm about to start up another small cycle. My joints have always hurt me but in the last 2 weeks they have gotten worse. When I do a rep of an exercise, even at low weight, my joints all burn and ache. The only thing new I can think of is I started on a new multi-vitamin a week ago. I had been taking the same one for 3 years but decided to try something new. What in a diet can help with this and in contrast, what missing from a diet can cause this? My cycle I'm about to start I'm including deca in it as I've heard this can help with joint pain. What do you all think? Could this be something as simple as me changing multi-vitamins?

Glucosamine & Chondroitin with MSM. but it doesnt start helping for a month or so, gotta take it everyday. works for me though.

The above statement has not been eveluated by the FDA.

Hey marco...

Other than the Natural Man multi I take daily, I take fish oil caps and thats it. My diet is pretty low in fat and really doesn't change much. Maybe I'm missing out on something important by eating this way but I've got a routine down where I make large amounts of food for the entire week and it varies little. As for PCT, I did Clomid and Nolva for 3 weeks, along with 10,000 IU of HCG split up over 3 weeks. My PCT ended 9 weeks ago.

the last 2 weeks your joints have hurt... thats about the time that your levels of plasma nolva would dropped to nearly completely gone.

sounds like either your estrogen or progesterone (more likely) levels are low.

Thanks Macro that must be what is going on here. What can I do to help? Start eating fatty foods or something? Any suggestions to get these levels up?

try some pregnenolone or Pseven (which has pregnenolone)- it is a substrate from which your body can make progesterone.

you should see rapid improvement, if not then the issue is something else (though that is what it appears to be)

you could also get some progesterone cream, however with men feel less comfortable suggesting this, prefer to reccomend precursor/substrate first. While men need progesterone, its role (and relevant dosing in situations of suppression) in men is not as well understood (other than modulating estrogenic activity)

Still consider myself a novice but I have had experience with joint pain and deca. First off deca helped alleviate joint pain a lot.. To the point where I didn't notice it at all. When lifting hard there was no creeking or cracking. However, my body dosen't agree with it post cycle. Shut me down hard. Maybe different with you. A member in my family is one of the leading bone and joint M.D.'s in this country. Recommends daily intake glucosamine/chondriton/msm for joints. He say's it's not joint rebuild in a bottle but a supplement for healthy joints.
Hope this helps Bro..

this is a sign of suppression of natural progesterone production. Nandrolone is also very suppressive of the HPGA. as noted progesterone (as it relates to this) is not widely studied in men.

Hey macro sorry for the delay in reply. Thanks for the incredible help. I'm doing ok now but never did get those things you suggested. I just let it ride itself out. Where can I find pregnenolone or Pseven? Is that OTC stuff at GNC or what?

Bump

If I drop my fats down to 40-50grams/day for more than a few months my joints start hurting more than normal.Even with supplements

Glucosomine should help a little. But, after every one of my cycles, I have had some joint discomfort. I think it just comes with the game.

True... fat makes a great lube...

I would always first try a good EFA supplement (complete with fish oil, flaxseed oil, evening primrose oil, and borage oil) as well as Glucosamine/Chondroitin. This has always helped me, but you do have to be diligent and patient, and take daily for a couple months to see effective results. That typically isn't a problem for most disciplined AAS users.

Deca is always a consideration, and I agree that it has worked for me as well, actually feels like reps are smoother while on Deca, but of course you may treat one side and trade for another with Deca.

I agree with 21gun, some joint pain is just a product of the game, and many of us have to take the bad with the good [but obviously try to minimize the bad]. If one isn't willing to accept some joint pain, especially if using winny, letro or ATD, then don't play the game. ;)
