My first night training as a fire fighter

What a rush. Received my pager, radio, and uniform last friday but tonight was first training. Got to unscrew fire hydrant and hook up 5" hose and than got to use the nozzle as the lead and than as the second person. Put on the mask and the tank as they wanted to test my strength and did very well. The water pressure was as high as 160 pounds when I said this is not to bad and I think they were surprised with the tank and the pressure I did not flinch.

Got soaked inside but all in all was a very big rush. Being a volunteer is actually cool and I have taken this on like I did my bodybuilding and my life and enjoy the new hobby. I am asking a million questions and I think they know its very serious to me. No calls in the week I have dawned the pager but atleast I am learning new things and will be some what ready when the calls do happen when I am home.

if you have a volunteer fire department near you get involved its fullfilling.

very cool, my best bud is a vff and he takes it very seriously, he is actually taking the tests to be a career ff, he said he doesnt do it for the money

hey AAP. my ex is now in your parts. maybe a bar back somehwere don't know but he moved there two weeks ago. You recall his name right? The one from survivor. If ya see him give him a hug for me. i will actually be flying down on Sunday to than drive to Naples and will be there for 6 weeeks. Found a bar called Snapper Club not to bad.

no but this makes me feel good mentally so fuck the ehalth. Was going to mayo on the 26th but cancelled as my insurance would be out of network and since they won't tell me ahead what they may do I don't want a surprise bill of thousands and thousands. I will see another "guru" though by May and THANKS for asking

Well, hope things get better for you. I know how mentally draining this medical stuff can be. The physical stuff is bad enough, but the mental part is pretty harsh too.
